Fun in the Sun and a new book!

Praise the Lord for beautiful days filled with sunshine!  God knew that we needed seasons to give us a change.  Can you imagine years and years of only one season?  I can't.  I love every season, and just about the time I am getting tired of one, we get a new one!  This week I've been especially loving our Spring weather!

Not only has the weather been great, but Daddy had a day off of work, so to the park we went!  Selah almost started hyperventilating when she looked out her car window and realized where we were.  She is such a ham!  She wasted no time whooshing down the slide.

Those sweet cheeks and  innocent eyes melt my heart every time she looks at me.

Any day when Daddy is home is a good day, especially this year when there haven't been nearly enough!

Sophie was super excited to see a sweet friend from school at the park.  I didn't get too many pictures of her because I couldn't keep up with them.

Sophie was very excited to show off her new found skill of sliding down the pole.

And of course the swing set is a must, but Daddy pushes her higher than mommy would.  I guess that is what makes Daddy's so fun=)

Selah wants to swing in the big girl swing, but  as soon as shes up, she wants to get down!

Too cool for school, obviously.

A little hair raising ride with Big sissy.  Selah is the one who probably needs the helmet.  But whiplash is the most likely injury in one of these little cars.  And if your kids have one, you know what I mean.  Stop-Go-Stop-Go...

It helps to have a BIG TALL Daddy when you're playing basket ball!

Selah was apparently confident in her own skills!  Good form.
All in all, a very fun filled day!

On another note...

This is what I'm reading right now.  I love a good book.  This one is proving to be an easy read, but I haven't gotten too far into it.  So far so good!

Stay tuned for more sewing conquests!

Daddy's Day Off, Zoo, Zoe's and ZZZZs

We had a wonderful day at the zoo this week. Trey is working a ton lately, so it was so great just to hang out as a family and take the girls to do something fun. We ended up buying the year pass to the zoo, so if anybody wants to return with us, let me know. I of course had to bring my camera. I only took 544 pics! Here are a few of my favorites. There were tons because all the animals were out and so cooperative. We even heard the lion and tiger roaring! It was the best trip I've ever had to the zoo.

After the zoo, it was off to Zoe's for some yummy chicken salad sandwich and grilled chicken pita! Then we all headed home for a nap! To top it off, church that night was phenomenal. The worship was so powerful as was the message on Tabernacle Prayer. All in all, it was a Fab Day! Hope all of you have a Fab Day this week too!

Starting the day off at the Sea Lion Splash Show
and from here on out, the pictures are in no particular order!

This is the only picture of me, you are WELCOME!

We saw them and I said, "Wow, that is amazing they just stay here in their little spot." (there's no cage or net) Then Trey told me they probably clipped their wings so they can't fly, oh, sad=(
Selah keepin busy in the stroller with her Ritz

We joke that these are Sophie's "hot pants" but they are just so darn cute. I mean when else can you pull it off and still look cute!
I love the colors on this lizard. He could inspire a room or something.
Ok, this is one scary gator!
Selah getting pretty sleepy towards the end! And she's out....zzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Drum Roll............................

You'll have to watch the video to see where Trey matched in anesthesia!

Thanks everyone for all the prayers, texts, emails and calls. We love you all!

It's Match Day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today is a milestone in the Warren household. Trey has "match day" which means he will find out where he'll be spending the next 4 years doing an anesthesia residency. For medical students, this day is really bigger than graduation. We are hoping that we end up at UAB, but if God has other plans then we are open to what He has in store for us.
The festivities begin at 11:00 am and continue throughout the day. There is a podcast of the matching available if anyone is interested at http://medicine.uab.edu/matchday/ . The whole thing pretty much goes down like sorority bid day, except every person has to get up in front of a microphone and announce to the whole room where they matched. Kinda crazy, but it should be very fun and exciting.
Trey, I am so proud of you and it amazes me how quickly this day has come. You are going to be a great doctor and I know God will use you to do His will and take care of His children daily. You are a blessing to me and to everyone who knows you! I LOVE YOU!We've come a long way, but here is a picture of us at Trey's white coat ceremony almost four years ago! This is just a few weeks before Sophie was born.
